Study Notes:

In this lesson we will explain how to build and save watchlists inside the Client Portal. We will also look at operating and saving templates from the Market Scanner. Let’s start with Watchlists.

Watchlists

From the Application menu locate and click the Watchlist link to open the display.

Created watchlists are displayed under My Lists to the left.

Users can manage and create new watchlists from the links below.

Alternatively, select the link to Top Lists to view Most Popular predefined watchlists built into Client Portal.

Click on a Watchlist to display content. This can be edited or renamed by accessing the three dots to the upper right of the page.

Each ticker is clickable, enabling the user to quickly access snapshot charts, ESG ratings, events, news, market data, analysts’ forecasts and financial ratios.

Clients may trade from either page by using the Trade button towards the upper right. Use the back arrow alongside the ticker symbol at the top of the page to return to watchlists.

Click the three dots to the upper right of the watchlist to reveal the menu. This watchlist can be renamed, or the instrument list can be tailored.  Click Rename and change the Watchlist title. Then hit Enter.

Click on the new watchlist button to build an entirely new list. Enter a name for the new display and enter the tickers you wish to monitor into the contract selection menu below. Click Save when complete.

Your new watchlist will appear under My Lists to the left of your screen.

To completely remove a Watchlist from My Lists, click the three checks and lines to the right of My Lists. Use the Red X icon to delete a list from the display and return to any remaining list using the hyperlink.

Popular Watchlist

Also available in Client Portal are several popular watchlists covering global or regional instruments.

Click on Top Watchlists to access and click on an individual link to display.

These watchlists cover several equity index futures contracts as well as ETF watchlists and global market indices.

Click on a watchlist to view its display. If you want to customize a watchlist, click on the three dots to the upper right and add or delete symbols. If you make a change, you will then be able to save and return to the latest display.

Market Scanners

Use the Market Scanner within Client Portal to filter for stocks across global markets for biggest movers or for instruments with high volumes. Click the Market Scanner link and begin to select from the available criteria.

Select the instrument and region from the first dropdown menu. Users can choose between regional stocks, futures and indices. Use the second dropdown menu to filter by exchange venue. And choose criteria from the third menu.

Price and volume filters are available to the right. Enter minimum and maximum share or contract prices in the Price Range input fields and use the Volume filter to weed out instruments that don’t meet your criteria. Click the Run Scanner button beneath to display the results. Adjust the criteria further if you wish and click the Refresh Results button again to update the display.

If you like a particular scanner, click the Save button to add it to your live watchlist. Here you can input a new name and description should you choose.
